Mumbai: The latest episode of Anupamaa, produced by Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi under Director’s Kut Productions, brings high-voltage family drama as Pakhi desperately tries to stop Ishani and Banku’s relationship, while Anupama makes a balanced decision that leaves everyone stunned.
The episode begins with Vasundhara being taken aback by the unexpected arrival of Pakhi and Paritosh at the Kothari residence. Pakhi emotionally pleads for help, claiming that Anupama is determined to support Ishani and Banku’s relationship. Fearing that her daughter may end up marrying Banku, Pakhi begs Vasundhara to intervene.
Although Vasundhara sympathizes with Pakhi’s concerns, she makes it clear that she does not wish to get involved in matters concerning the Shah family. Pakhi, however, refuses to give up. She even requests Khyati to speak to Anupama, but Khyati encourages her to trust Anupama’s judgement. Overwhelmed by fear and anxiety, Pakhi breaks down and threatens to harm herself, leaving everyone worried. Prem then urges Vasundhara to help, seeing Pakhi’s helpless state.
Meanwhile, at the Shah house, Anupama gathers the family together. Leela immediately assumes that Anupama has called everyone to announce Ishani and Banku’s wedding. Just then, Pakhi and Paritosh arrive with Vasundhara, who explains that she has come only because Pakhi requested her presence.
Pakhi openly accuses Anupama of planning to unite Ishani and Banku. Her allegations upset Ishani, while Kinjal, Mahi, and Pari try to calm her down. Hasmuk questions Pakhi’s lack of faith in Anupama and reminds her that Anupama stood by Ishani during some of her most difficult moments. He refuses to believe that Anupama would ever do anything to harm her daughter.
As emotions run high, Vasundhara requests Anupama not to encourage the youngsters’ relationship. In response, Anupama thanks her for taking the time to discuss the matter and asks everyone to hear her out.
Anupama then explains that she understands her children and knows Ishani’s feelings stem from a phase of loneliness and emotional dependence. She believes that Ishani has found comfort and companionship in Banku, but insists that such important decisions should not be taken in haste.
In a surprising move, Anupama reveals that after discussing the matter with Digvijay, they have decided not to rush into marriage. Instead, Ishani and Banku will spend the next year focusing on their studies and careers while staying apart from each other. The announcement leaves Ishani completely shocked.
Precap: Anupama happily reveals that their café has been selected for the competition. While Leela points out that the contest will begin soon after the wedding festivities, Shruti suggests buying new knives to stay ahead of the competition. However, Anupama says success will not come from sharp knives but from serving food with love and warmth.
